On 27 Jan 2026, Arboris Global Partners held working-level discussions with Investment NSW in Sydney. Jiaqin Li, Founder and Director, met with Damian Meduri, Associate Director, Priority Markets (Greater China), and colleagues to exchange views on New South Wales’ industry landscape, investment priorities, and directions for continued dialogue. Investment NSW sits within the NSW Government framework and connects business, government, and global markets to support innovation, industry, investment, and trade.

The discussion covered Sydney’s role within Australia’s broader commercial and capital networks, and extended to New South Wales’ areas of focus across advanced manufacturing, medtech, innovation translation, and local industry development. It also addressed the operating boundaries of a state-level economic development agency and the ways in which cross-border coordination can develop within clearer industry and institutional settings.

For Arboris, the value of this type of engagement lies not only in strengthening its understanding of Australia’s state-level economic and investment promotion framework, but also in observing how cross-border collaboration can be structured within clearer industrial logic. Over the longer term, durable cross-border coordination tends to depend on defined institutional roles, stable channels of engagement, and an accurate reading of local industry needs.

Arboris will continue to follow developments across Australia’s industry, capital, and innovation ecosystems, and to remain in dialogue with market participants across different fields in support of the firm’s ongoing assessment of cross-border collaboration, structured execution, and long-term value formation.
